Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP)

The Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP), is run by the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission and is fully funded by the Queensland State Government. The program is dedicated to finding homes for greyhounds that have retired from racing.

The GAP’s South East Queensland facility includes air-conditioned kennels, large exercise yards and an on-site veterinary facility.

The GAP also has a presence in Townsville for the retirement and adoption of greyhounds in North Queensland.

Greyhound Adoptions

More than 1055 GAP greyhounds have found their new homes since July 1 2016. To find out more about the GAP or to adopt a GAP greyhound, visit the GAP website or follow GAP on Facebook and Instagram.
