Thoroughbred

The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC or the Commission) has approved a new licensing standard that will be used to assess applications and renewals for participants in the racing industry. The licensing standard is based directly on the licensing scheme policy previously used by Racing Queensland.

The Standard for Licensing Scheme Thoroughbreds can be found on the Standards and rules page.

The QRIC administers the issuing of licences in the areas of breeding, licensing, syndication and registration. Licences for participation in the Queensland racing industry are authorised under the Racing Act 2002 (PDF, 1MB).

All forms related to thoroughbred licensing have been updated as part of the transition to the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission. Ensure that you complete and submit a Commission branded form as old forms cannot be accepted.

If your application has an associated fee then make the payment before submitting the form and provide payment completion details with your submission.

For all enquiries regarding the syndication, registration, or licensing process please contact the Licensing department via email: mailto:licensing@qric.qld.gov.au or call: 1300 087 021.
