As a Queensland public entity, the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) is bound by the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (‘IP Act’) (Information Privacy Act 2009 – Queensland Legislation – Queensland Government) in the handling of personal information. The IP Act contains various privacy principles that govern the way in which QRIC will collect, store, use and disclose personal information.

QRIC understands and appreciates that visitors to, and users of, this website are concerned about their privacy and the confidentiality, storage and security of information they provide to us.
Information collected
As a general rule, QRIC does not collect personal information about you when you visit its website.

Making a privacy complaint
If you are concerned about a possible interference with your privacy, please contact QRIC’s Privacy Officer and we will investigate the matter. Complaints to QRIC must be made in writing.
The complaint must: –
- Concern your personal information as defined in the IP Act;
- Be in writing and state an address to whom notices may be forwarded in relation to your complaint;
- Give particulars of the alleged breach.

If you do not receive a response within 45 days or your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC): Make a privacy complaint | Office of the Information Commissioner Queensland.
