The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Integrity Investigations Team (IIT) stood down two racing participants after a human sampling operation at Eagle Farm this morning.

One trainer and one trackwork rider will remain stood down until the confirmatory analysis for prohibited substances is returned and a further trainer could face the Stewards if his preliminary positive result for a prohibited substance is confirmed.

The Eagle Farm operation also detected an unlicensed trackwork rider.

Queensland Racing Integrity Commissioner Ross Barnett said the operation marks an increase in operations in the lead up to next month’s Gold Coast Magic Millions racing carnival.

The IIT will be out in full force over the next few weeks in the lead up to the Magic Millions with ramped up human and animal testing,” he said.
