Queensland Racing Review 2025 – Submission deadline extended to April 7

The Queensland Government has launched an extensive review into aspects Queensland racing, and they need you to lend your voice and expertise.
Racing is a vital part of Queensland’s economic and social fabric, contributing more than $2.4 billion annually and supporting around 16,000 jobs, with substantial impacts on communities across the State.
In close consultation with the wider sector, the Review aims to identify and recommend the necessary actions to:
• ensure the financial sustainability and long-term viability of all racing codes
• strengthen the integrity of Queensland’s racing industry
• deliver modern and fit-for-purpose racing infrastructure statewide
• safeguard the ongoing viability and success of country racing
• foster a collaborative relationship among stakeholders to ensure a commitment to the care and welfare of racing animals.
There is an industry-wide opportunity to share your unique perspectives, firsthand experiences and innovative ideas to help keep the industry sustainable into 2045 and beyond.
The input and involvement of participants and stakeholders is vital. Submissions can address any topic related to racing.
There are several ways to have your say as part of this initial consultation:
