QRIC offers counselling following harness racing incident

The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) is offering a counselling service to those in attendance when an incident occurred at last night’s Redcliffe Harness Racing meeting.

Acting Racing Integrity Commissioner Mark Ainsworth said anyone who identifies as attending last night’s event will be supported.

“Anyone who was in attendance and needs support please contact LifeWorks-Optum on 1300 361 008 or 1800 604 640 for assistance,” he said.

“The Breeders, Owners, Trainers & Reinspersons Association (BOTRA) president Darren Garrard can also be contacted on 0428 100 976.”
