Human error cause for greyhound wrong call

27 August 2021

The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission has investigated a miscommunication of placegetters at Wednesday’s Capalaba greyhound race meeting.

In race 2 the judge called the second and third placegetters in the incorrect order, and the mistake was not identified before all clear was given.

Chief Greyhound Steward Wade Hadley said it was a mistake that should not have happened and can only be put down to human error.

“We will ensure the best available technology is used to prevent future incidents,” he said.

The Commission apologies for the inconvenience caused.
