Internal Review confirms apprentice jockey charge
A Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) Internal Review decision has confirmed the Steward’s charge against apprentice jockey Zoe White.
Ms White breached AR 232(b) on 1 April 2020 when she defied a Steward’s direction to stand down from riding and to self-quarantine for fourteen days pursuant to the Covid-19 zoning rules.
The Internal Review decision confirmed the charge with the penalty being amended from a six month disqualification to a three month disqualification.
Ms White is currently serving her disqualification which commenced on 2 April 2020 and will expire on 2 July 2020.
