Industry Notice: It’s licence renewal time. Here’s how you can prepare.
Wednesday 7 May, 2025
The licence renewal period is approaching, so now is the time to begin preparing.
To renew your licence in 2025, here are some things you can do now to get ready:
1. Ensure all outstanding debts are paid and finalised.
2. Have your medical completed if applicable to the licence you are renewing.
3. Familiarise yourself with the following changes to licensing conditions:
a. All participants are now required to confirm in writing within 3 business days any criminal charges laid against them (previously 14 days).
b. All participants are now required to confirm in writing within 3 business days if they are declared bankrupt (previously 14 days).
Failure to comply with either of these licensing conditions means you, as a licensee, may be subject to disciplinary action.
Queensland Community Racing Scheme (QCRS)
As the Queensland Community Racing Scheme (QCRS) is no longer sanctioned in Queensland, the associated licences will no longer be issued by QRIC.
As a result, if you currently hold this licence category, a renewal will not be offered.
