Heathcote fined $34,000 for possession and administration of a banned substance

Brisbane Trainer Rob Heathcote has been fined a total of $34,000 after pleading guilty to possession of a banned substance and he was found guilty to two charges of administration of the banned substance Hemoplex.

Queensland Racing Integrity Commission stewards inquired into the matter following an Integrity Investigative Team (IIT) inspection at the Heathcote stables on 23 April this year.

Stewards also determined that Mr Heathcote was guilty of administration of Hemoplex to various horses between 1 May 2021 to 31 December 2021.
