Eagle Farm runners set for re-examination before racing in Saturday’s Group 1’s

Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) veterinarians have today continued the inspection of runners engaged in the two Group 1 races the Queensland Derby and Kingsford Smith Cup on Saturday, 29 May at Eagle Farm.
Inspections have identified that Quiet Michael has some mild lameness in the off-foreleg and will be re-examined tomorrow before being given the all-clear to race in the Queensland Derby.
An examination of Kingsford-Smith Cup runners found Gytrash to be exhibiting lameness in the near-foreleg, Savatiano was exhibiting mild lameness in the off-foreleg and Savatoxl was mildly lame in the near-foreleg.
All runners will be subject to a QRIC veterinary re-examination before being cleared to race.
