Why report?
Your report about the mistreatment of racing animals or other wrongdoing within any of the three codes of animal racing will help keep racing integrity on track.
In our experience, most licensed participants play within the Rules of Racing. Those who breach the rules put themselves and others at risk, and also jeopardise the longevity of animal racing in Queensland.
We need help from the racing community to do our job of safeguarding the welfare of racing animals and ensuring that people involved in animal racing in Queensland act with integrity.
How to report
The easiest way to make a report is via our web form on our website. Please include as much detail as possible, including any supporting documentation such as photographs, if you have them.
Telephone us on our new telephone number 1300 119 291
What you should report
If you have information about the abuse or neglect of racing animals, including threats to the life of any animal involved in the racing, REPORT IT.
If you have any information about race-fixing, REPORT IT.
If you have information about doping of racing animals with performance enhancing or illegal substances, REPORT IT.
If you have any information about licensed participants using performance enhancing or illegal substances, REPORT IT.
If you have information about a breach of the Greyhound, Harness or Thoroughbred Rules of Racing, REPORT IT.
Known or suspected criminal activity within animal racing circles should also be reported to Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 or directly to the Queensland Police – PoliceLink 131444.

All reports to Report Something are reviewed and then prioritised by our Report Something team prior to being assigned to one of our operational teams for action.
Your report might be the piece of the puzzle that we need to help us to safeguard the welfare of animals involved in racing or ensure the integrity of persons involved in animal racing.
Your report might result in a conversation between a Steward and a licensed participant, reminding that person of his or her obligations under the Rules. It might prompt an investigation or a Stewards’ Inquiry.
If your report relates to a matter that is the responsibility of the Queensland Police, Bio-Security Queensland or the RSPCA, we will ensure the information is referred to them.
The Deputy Commissioner is briefed on all reports received into Report Something.
