Participant Rehoming Program Reminders
30 October 2025
QRIC would like to provide clarity regarding the rehoming process and the Participant Rehoming Program (PRP).
Under LR11C, owners are reminded of their responsibility to rehome their greyhound(s) to an appropriate home. The PRP has been established to partner with industry participants to assist with rehoming retired greyhounds.
To progress PRP applications, all certificates must be attached at the time of submission. This includes heartworm and hookworm negative results. Greyhounds that return a positive result for heartworm or hookworm cannot be accepted into the program. More information about the PRP can be found on the GAP website.
All green collar greyhounds are actively promoted to help them find suitable retirement homes. This includes being profiled on the GAP website, promoted through GAP social media channels, and invited to attend the bi-monthly GAP Homeward Hounds events as well as other signature events.
We thank you for your continued support in providing the best possible outcomes for retired greyhounds.
