It’s time for jockeys and apprentice jockeys to book your annual cognitive test

All jockeys and apprentice jockeys are required to complete a mandatory annual cognitive (COG) test to remain licensed in Queensland.

From Monday, 9 June 2025, all jockeys and apprentice jockeys must call your local steward’s office to book an appointment to complete the test.

You must complete your test before Saturday 2 August, 2025 to ensure your licence remains current.
