QRIC testing shows compliance at Eagle Farm
The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) reported 100% compliance following random breath testing of 30 riders at Eagle Farm racecourse on 23 December 2019.
QRIC’s Integrity Investigations Team (IIT) conducted the no notice tests on 26 track work riders and four jockeys, with all riders returning a 0.00 result.
Commissioner Ross Barnett said the testing was a significant part of QRIC’s work and provided confidence to the racing industry that rider safety was a high priority.
On the same day, another rider was found to be unlicensed and was stood down by Stewards, with the trainer being advised of the stand down order.
