Licensing

Participants must be licensed by the Commission in order to care, breed, raise and train animals. There are a number of roles performed in the racing industry and it is the Commission’s role to ensure that those who work with racing animals that are ‘in work’ are capable of their roles which include:

• Training
• Attendant or kennelling duties
• Bookmaking
• Breeding and raising of greyhounds.
